A body of mass 1 kg tied to string is whirled in a vertical circle of radius 1 m. Find velocity and tension in the string

i. at the top of the circle

ii. at the bottom of the circle and

iii. at a point level with the centre.

Assume that the mass just goes around the circle at the top with minimum speed without the string slackening.

Required velocity and tension in the spring in different points are:

i At the top of the circle 3.13 m/s, zero

ii At the bottom of the circle 7 m/s, 58.8 N

iii at a point level with the centre 5.42 m/s, 29.4 N
