In dicot leaf, bundle sheath is generally signel layered and formed of colourless cells. Bundle sheath extensions are parenchymatous. In monocot leaf, bundle sheath may be single or double layered and the cells generally possess chloroplasts. Bundle sheath extensions are sclerenchymatous.
