Read the following statements and find out the incorrect statement(s).
a. The binding of `CO_(2)` with haemoglobin is related to the partial pressure of `CO_(2). pO_(2)` is a major factor which could affect this binding.
b. When `pCO_(2)` is low and `pO_(2)` is high as in the alveoli, more binding of `CO_(2)` occurs, whereas when the `pCO_(2)` is high and `pO_(2)` is low as in the tissues, dissolution of `CO_(2)` from carbamino-haemoglobin takes place.
c. At the tissue site, where partial pressure of `CO_(2)` is high due to catabolism, `CO_(2)` diffuses into blood (RBCs and plasma) and forms `HCO_(3)^(-)` and 11. At the alveolar site wher `pCO_(2)`is low, the reaction proceeds in the opposite direction leading to the formation of `CO_(2)" and "H_(2)O` .
d. Oxygen dissociation curve is highly useful in studying the eifect of factor like `pCO_(2),H^(+)` concentration, etc., on binding of `O_(2)` with haemoglobin
A. a and b
B. b and c
C. c and d

Correct Answer - D
When `pCO_(2)` is high and `pO_(2)` is low as in the alveoli, more binding of `O_(2)` occurs, whereas when the `pCO_(2)" is high and "pO_(2)` is low as in the tissues, dissociation of 02 from oxyhaemoglobin takes place
