(i) Sugarcane and cotton - Extractive industries (Primary industries)
Primary industries are connected with the extraction and production of natural resources , and reproduction and development of living organisms , plants , etc. Extractive industries extract or draw out various products from natural resources such as earth, soil , water , etc . Farming , mining , fishing , hunting , lumbering , oil extraction , etc . are examples of extractive industries.
(ii) Sugar and cloth - Processing incustries (Secondary industries)
Secondary industries are concerned with using the materials extracted at the primary stage to produce goods for final consumption or further processing by other indusctral units.
Processing industries are manufacturing industries which involve successive stages for manufacturing finished products ( e.g., sugar , cloth , paper , etc.).
