प्रस्तुत अभिक्रिया निम्न प्रकार से सम्पन्न होती है -
`Fe^(2+)(aq) rarr Fe^(3+)(aq) + e^(-)` (ऑक्सीकरण अर्द्ध सैल अभिक्रिया )
`Ag^(+)(aq) + e^(-) rarr Ag(s)` (अपचयन अर्द्ध सैल अभिक्रिया)
इस अभिक्रिया के लिए,
`n = 1 , F = 96500` coulombs, `E^(@) = 0.028 V`
`:. DeltaG^(@) = -nFE^(@)`
`= - 1 xx 96500 xx 0.028 = - 2702 J = -2.7 kJ`
