For `A` `T cos 45^(@) = ma`
`T = sqrt2 ma` …(i)
For `B` `m g - T cos 45^(@) = ma`
:. `M g - ma= ma` or `a = (g)/(2)`
Substituting in Eq. (i) we get `T = (mg)/(sqrt2)`
