In case of substitute goods, increase in the price of one good causes an increase in the demand of its substitute good, For Example: Tea and Coffee are substitute goods. When the price of tea increases, it will lead to increase in the demand of coffee, as the consumers will now start consuming more of coffee in place of tea.
