Best answer
Correct Answer - C
(c) In addition to chlorophyll-a, brown algae posses special carotenoids and fucoxanthin. It is due to the fucoxanthin (brown pigment) that these algae appear brown. Phycocyanin and phycoerythrin are phycobilins which are found in red algae (phycocyanin-r, phycoerythrin-r) and blue-green algae (phycocyanin-c, phycoerythrin-c).
