Speed of train = 36 km/hr = `36 xx (5)/(18) = 10` m/s
Length of train = `15 xx 10 = 150` m
Length of (train + platform) = `10 xx 42 = 420` m
`therefore` length of platform = 420m - 150 m = 270 m
