My question was on rate constant not on rate of reaction

Temperature is the only factor that changes the value for k for a reaction. Thats incorrect, rate constant isn't affected only by temperaturepressure also makes a change. Its to do with the ideal gas constant and temperature in the arrhenius equation. if rate is going up, then one of K, [a], or [b] must be going up.
