(1) Acetic acid :
When phenol is treated with acetic acid in the presence of cone, sulphuric acid, (ester) is formed.
(2) Acetic anhydride :
When phenol is treated with acetic anhydride in the presence of cone, sulphuric acid, (ester) is formed.
(3) Acetyl chloride :
When phenol is treated with acetyl chloride in the presence of cone, sulphuric acid, (ester) is formed.
(Pyridine neutralizes HCl formed during reaction.)
