An ideal solenoid having `2000turns` per meter has an iron core of permeability `500` and carries a current of `1*0A`. Calculate (i) magnetising itensity `(H)` at the centre of solenoid (ii) magnetic permeability of iron (iii) magnetic susceptibility of iron (v) intesity of magnetisation.

Here, `n=2000, I=1*0A`.
(i) Magnetising intensity, `H=nI`
`=2000xx1=2000Am^-1`
(ii) Magnetic permeability
`mu=mu_0mu_r=4pixx10^-7xx500`
`6*28xx10^-4TmA^-1`.
(iii) `chi_m=mu_r-1=500-1=499`.
(iv) `I=chi_mH=499xx2000=9*98xx10^5Am^-1`
