Needles `N_(1) , N_(2), and N_(3)` are made of a ferromagnetic, a paramagnetic and a diamagnetic substance respectively . A magnet when brought close to them will
A. attract `N_1` strongly, but repel `N_2` and `N_3` weekly
B. attract all three of them
C. attract `N_1` and `N_2` strongly, but repel `N_3`
D. attract `N_1` strongly, `N_2` weakly and repel `N_3` weakly

Best answer
Correct Answer - D
As ferromagnetics tend to move towards stronger magnetic field, so, `N_1` will get attracted strongly, paramagnetic also get attracted to stronger magnetic field upto some extent. So `N_2` will also get weakly attracted, but diamgentic, i.e., `N_3` tend to move away from magnetic field, hence `N_3` will get weakly repelled.
