A compound microscope consists of an objective of focal length 1 cm and eyepiece of focal length 5 cm separated by 12.2 cm. 

(i) At what distance from the objective should an object be placed so that the final image is formed at least distance of distinct vision? 

(ii) Calculate the angular magnification in this case.

fo = 1 cm, fe = 5 cm, L = 12.2 cm

(i) Final image is seen at least distance of distinct vision (25 cm)
