Here x = 1 and y = - 3

∴ the point lies in the fourth quadrant. Let the polar coordinates be (r, θ).

Since, the  point lies in the fourth quadrant and

0\(\le\)\(\theta\) < 2\(\pi\).

∴ the polar coordinates of the given point are \(\left(2, \cfrac{5\pi}{3}\right)\).
