(i) स्वतुल्य `therefore a+b = b+a`
`therefore (a,b) R(a,b)` प्रत्येक `(a,b) int N xx N` के लिए
`therefore` R स्वतुल्य हैं|
(ii) सम्मित `(a,b)R (c,d) rArr a+d= b+c`
`rArr b+c=a+d`
`rArr c+b= d+a`
`rArr (c,d)R(a,b)`
`therefore` R सम्मित हैं|
(iii) संक्रामक (a,b) R (c,d) तथा (c,d) R (e,f)
`rArr a+d = b+c ` तथा `c+f=d+e`
`rArr a+f=b+e`
`rArr (a,b) R (e,f)`
`therefore` R संक्रामक हैं|
अतः `N xx N` पर R एक तुल्यता सम्बन्ध हैं|
