If the lines 2x + 3y + 1 = 0 and 3x - y - 4 = 0 lie along diameters of a cirxle of circumference 10π, then the equation of the circle is

(a) x2 + y2  -2x + 2y -23 = 0

(b) x2 + y2 - 2x - 2y - 23 = 0

(c) x2 + y2 + 2x + 2y - 23 = 0

(d) x2 + y2 + 2x - 2y - 23 = 0

Best answer

Correct Option (a) x2 + y2  -2x + 2y -23 = 0

Explanation:

Given lines 2x + 3y + 1= 0 and 3x - y- 4 = 0 are the diameters of circle.

The intersection of two lines is the centre of circle (1, -1)

Circumference of circle = 10π
