Correct option (b)  Ni(CO)4, [Ni(CN)4]2- are diamagnetic but NiCl42- is paramagnetic

Explanation:

Ni (28) Ni2+ both have two unpaired electrons. CO and CN- are strong field ligands and thus, unpaired electrons get paired. Hence, Ni(CO)4 and [Ni(CN)4]2- are diamagnetic. While Cl- as a weak field ligand, hence NiCl42- is paramagnetic
