(i) `CH_(3)I` अधिक तेजी से क्रिया करेगा क्योंकि `I^(-)` आयन `Br^(-)` की अपेक्षा अधिक भारी होने के कारण आसानी से यौगिक को छोड़ देगा ।
(ii) कम त्रिविम बाधा (steric hindrance) प्रदर्शित करने के कारण `CH_(3)Cl, S_(N)2` अभिक्रिया में अधिक तेजी से क्रिया करेगा ।
