Correct Answer - A::B
(a) `overset(-1)I^(-) + overset(+5)I O_(3)^(-) + H^(+) to overset(0)I_(2) + H_(2)O`
`[2I^(-) to I_(2) + 2e^(-2)] xx 5`............(i)
`10e^(-) + 2Ioverset(+5)(O_(3)^(-)) to overset(0)I_(2)`..........(2)
On adding Eqs.(i) and (ii), we get
`10I^(-) + 2IO_(3)^(-) to 6I_(2)`
To balance O atoms, add `6H_(2)O` molecules on RHS and `12H^(+)` on LHS, then
`10I^(-) + 2IO_(3)^(-) + 12H^(+) to 6I_(2) + 6H_(2)O`
or `5I^(-) + IO_(3)^(-) + 6H^(+) to 3I_(2) + 3H_(2)O`
