An object is seen through a simple microscope of focal length 20 cm. Find the angular magnification produced, if the image is formed at 30 cm from the lens.

Given,f=+20 cm and v=-30 cm
Using the formula, `1/v-1/u=1/f`
we have,`1/(-30)-1/(-u_(0))=1/20rArru_(0)=12 cm`
The angular magnification,
`M=(D)/(u_(0))=25/12=2.08`
