The coordinates of the foot of the perpendicular from the point `(2,3)` on the line `-y+3x+4=0` are given by `((37)/(10),-1/(10))` (b) `(-1/(10),(37)/(10))` `((10)/(37),-10)` (d) `(2/3,-1/3)`
A. (37,/10,-1/10)
B. (-1/10,37/10)
C. (10/37,-10)

Correct Answer - B
The line passing through (2,3) and perpendicular to -y+3x+4=0 is
`(y-3)/(x-2) =-(1)/(3)`
or 3y+x-11 = 0
Therefore, the foot is x=-1/10, y=37/10.
