Small farmers lack the resources to market the product or transport the produce to proper market. Many a times, they are not even aware of the inflation in the market and then they can not get more for their produce at the prevailing market prices. As a result, the middlemen earn the maximum profit by purchasing the produce from the small farmers at base prices and sell it at huge profits in the market.
