Correct Answer - `HOCl` acts as an acid, `HOCltoH^(+) + OCl^(-)`, and thus turns blue litmus to red.It also work as bleaching agent, `HOCItoHCI + [O]`, and the red litmus is decolorized by nascent oxygen.
