How will you convert Benzene into

(i) Acetophenone

(ii) m-nitro chloro benzene

(i) Benzene reacts with acetyl chloride in the presence of anhydrous AlCl3 to give acetophenone.

(ii) Benzene reacts with conc. HNO3 in the presence of conc. H2SO4 to give nitrobenzene which further reacts with chlorine in the presence of anhydrous AlCl3 to give m-nitro chlorobenzene.
