Explanation: Ethylene is slightly soluble in water. Glycol is used as antifreeze but not in paint emulsions. Some of the aromatics are produced as by-products in the steam cracking of hydrocarbons. Acetylene is more acidic than ethylene due to strong overlapping between s and p orbital’s.
