Correct Answer - Option 3 : Myocardial infraction

CONCEPT:

  • Cardiogenic shock is a life-threatening condition in which your heart suddenly can't pump enough blood to meet your body's needs.

EXPLANATION:

  • The most common cause of cardiogenic shock is a heart attack.
  • Other health problems that may lead to cardiogenic shock include heart conditions such as heart failure; chest injuries; medicine side effects; and conditions that prevent blood from flowing freely through your heart, such as a blood clot in the lungs.
  • A heart attack is also known as a myocardial infarction usually occurs when a blood clot blocks blood flow to the heart. Without blood, tissue loses oxygen and dies.

Hence, the correct answer is myocardial infarction.

  • Bacteremia is the presence of bacteria in the bloodstream.
  • A traumatic spinal cord injury may happen because of a sudden blow or cut to the spine. Damage to any part of the spinal cord or nerves at the end of the spinal canal.
  • Allergies, also known as allergic diseases, are a number of conditions caused by hypersensitivity of the immune system to typically harmless substances in the environment.
