Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 4 : Rs. 60

Given:

17  balls sold for Rs. 720

In the process loss = C.P of 5 balls

Formula used:

Selling Price = Cost Price ± Profit/Loss

Calculation

Let cost price of 1 ball be Rs.x

⇒ Cost of 17 balls = Rs.17x

⇒ Loss = 5x

⇒ 17x - 5x = 720

⇒ 12x = 720

⇒ x = Rs. 60

∴  Cost price of a ball is Rs.60.
