Correct Answer - Option 1 : 5 : 6

Given:

The ratio of cost price to marked price of a product is 5 : 8.

Concept:

Discount is always given on marked price.

Calculation:

Now, CP : MP = 5 : 8

Discount is always given on marked price, so discount of 25% on Marked price ⇒ Selling price = SP = 8 × 75/100 = 6

Thus, CP : SP = 5 : 6
