Best answer

"Correct Answer - Option 3 : 864 cm2

Given:

There is a wooden sphere of radius 6√3 cm.

Concept used:

If we cut out largest possible cube from the sphere, the diagonal of the cube will be equal to the diameter of the sphere.

Formula used:

Surface area of a cube = 6a2

Calculation:

Let the side of a cube be a.

√3a = 2 × 6√3

⇒ a = 12 cm.

Surface area of a cube = 6 × 12 × 12 = 864 cm2

∴ The surface area of the largest possible cube cut out from the sphere will be 864 cm2.
