  • The hardest form of rocks which do not contain fossils are the Metamorphic rocks formed by the alteration in the appearance and constituent of pre-existing rocks due to change in mineral composition and texture through temperature, pressure & volume.
  • Volcanic rocks are the extruded crystalline or glassy form of Igneous rocks.
  • The primary or basic rocks formed first and became the supply material for other types of rocks are known as the Igneous rocks which are found in granular or crystalline form.
