Best answer

Given (Vapour Density) V.D. = 8

Mol.wt = 2 x V.D.= 2 x 8 = 16

No. of moles in 24.0 g of gas = wt/mol.wt = 24/16 = 1.5 moles

At s.T.P., 1 mole of a gas occupies 22.4 l

1.5 moles (or 24.0 g) of the gas will occupy

= (22.4 x 1.5)/1 = 33.6 l
