For d.c. shunt motor the speed is dependent on induced e.m.f. only because
1. Flux is proportional to armature current.
2. Flux is practically constant in d.c.
3. Armature drop is negligible.
4. Induced e.m.f. is equal to armature drop.

Correct Answer - Option 2 : Flux is practically constant in d.c.

For dc Motor,

\({E_b} \propto N\phi \)

In dc shunt motor, the flux is practically almost constant. Hence the speed of the motor is only depend on e.m.f.
