Correct Answer - Option 1 : Require greater kinetic energy to reach equator than the poles

Cosmic rays ionise the radiation. The earth’s magnetic field and its atmosphere act as shield to these cosmic rays. The charged particles in cosmic rays are deflected by the earth’s magnetic field. The amount of deflection depends on the momentum and charge of the particles. Low energy ones are unable to enter the atmosphere.
