Correct Answer - Option 4 : 71

According to the question,

X × (X + 1) = 1260

X2 + X - 1260 = 0

By solving the above equation we get,

X = 35 and - 36

⇒ X = 35 (as X is a positive number)

And,

X + Y = 106

⇒ Y = 106 - X

Y = 106 - 35

Y = 71

Hence, 71 is the correct answer.
