Projective  techniques of personality measurement are the tests which are designed to:

  • reveal those central aspects of personality that lie in the unconscious mind of an individual.
  • evaluate a person's interests, attitudes, pattern of thought, etc while giving responses to ambiguous test materials.
  • There are different kinds of techniques or tools in fashion to measure personality. The questionnaire, interviews, schedule, etc are the most common tools of personality measurement.

'Questionnaire method: 

  • it is a technique of personality measurement where the source of data is the subject himself/herself.
  • it comprises a series of questions prepared by the researcher that is answered and filled in by all the respondents(child).
  • in the questionnaire, the researcher uses different forms of questions, such as closed-ended, open-ended, or partially closed-ended questions. 

Interview method

  • A method of personality assessment in which the interviewer asks questions to the clients and the client is allowed to answer either in a structured or an unstructured fashion.
Schedule
  • It is used as a supplementary device in observations and interviews.
  • It is a tool of collect data that comprises a series of questions to be asked from the respondents.
  • It contains close and open-ended questions to evaluate personal behaviour and social situations.

Formative assessment

  • The purpose is to diagnose the strength and weaknesses of the students.
  • The results are used for further improvement of instruction and student's better progress.
  • It refers to continuous evaluation by means of unit tests, assignments, etc.
  • It is done during the course of instruction as it is focused on improving the achievements of learners.
