Correct Answer - Option 4 : Guru Gobind Singh

The correct answer is Guru Gobind Singh.

  • Damdama Sahib Gurudwara was constructed in the memory of Guru Gobind Singh.

  • The Takht Shri Damdama Sahib is in the Talwandi Sabo, 30 km approx from Bathinda.
  • It is also known as Guru Ki Kashi.
  • After many battles across Punjab, Guru Gobind Singh arrived at Talwandi Sabo in January 1706 and stayed there for several months.
  • The place is now called Damdama Sahib (the place of rest).
  • It is said that one day Guru Gobind Singh Ji flung a few of reed pens over the heads of the 'Sangat', saying: "Here we will create a pool of literature. No one of my Sikhs should remain illiterate."
  • There is an underground room where Baba Deep Singh Ji created four copies of The ADI GRANTH.
  • Damdama Sahib is one of the five Takhts of Sikhism.
  • Damdama Sahib was the last and the most recent one to be recognised as a Takht, through a decision of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) in November 1966, a couple of months after the Reorganisation of States under which Punjab became a separate state.
