  • India's first hot air balloon safari in a tiger reserve was launched on December 25, 2020, in Madhya Pradesh's world-famous Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
    • The safari was launched by Madhya Pradesh forest minister Vijay Shah.
  • During the launch, the Minister said that the hot air balloon wildlife safari will be restricted to the buffer area, from where the tourists will be able to watch leopards, tigers, Indian sloth bears, and other wild animals. 
  • The service will be operated by a Jaipur-based company Sky Waltz.

  • Dudhwa National Park.
    • The Dudhwa Tiger Reserve is a protected area in Uttar Pradesh located on the India-Nepal border.
    • The Dudhwa National Park has a number of species of birds, reptiles, wild elephants, aquatic animals, one-horned rhinos, wild elephants besides its enriched flora and fauna. Its undisturbed natural forest cover, vast spans of grasslands, and wetlands.
    • It is the only place in U.P. where both Tigers and Rhinos can be spotted together.
  • Jim Corbett National Park is a forested wildlife sanctuary in northern India’s Uttarakhand State.
    • Rich in flora and fauna, it’s known for its Bengal tigers. Animals, including tigers, leopards and wild elephants, roam the Dhikala zone.
    • On the banks of the Ramganga Reservoir, the Sonanadi zone is home to elephants and leopards, along with hundreds of species of birds.
  • Manas National Park ' is a national park, UNESCO Natural World Heritage site, a Project Tiger reserve, an elephant reserve and a biosphere reserve in Assam, India.
    • Located in the Himalayan foothills, it is contiguous with the Royal Manas National Park in Bhutan.
