Correct Answer - Option 2 : Rs. 8,000

Given:

The ratio of income of A : B = 2 : 3

The ratio of expenditure of A : B = 3 : 5

Calculation:

Let the income of A and B be 2x and 3x

\(\frac{2x \ - 2000}{3x \ -\ 2000 } = \frac35\)

⇒ 10x - 10000 = 9x - 6000

⇒ x = 4000

A's income will be

⇒ 2 × 4000 = Rs. 8000

∴ The Income of A is Rs. 8000.
