Correct Answer - Option 4 : 20

Given:

Mean is 22 and mode is 16

Concept Used:

Mean – Mode = 3 × (Mean – Median)

Mode = 3 × Median – 2 × Mean

Calculation:

Given that: mean of the set of data is 22 and the mode is 16

We know that,

Mode = 3 × Median – 2 × Mean

⇒ 16 = 3 × Median – 2 × 22

⇒ 3 × Median = 44 + 16

⇒ Median = 60/3

⇒ Median = 20

The required Median is 20

Note:

For positive frequency distribution Mean > Median > Mode
