Correct Answer - Option 2 : 25 kg 745 g

Given:

The weight of rice purchased by Harish is 8 kg 290 g

The weight of flour purchased by Harish is 17 kg 455 g

Concept used:

1 kg = 1000 gram

Calculations:

We can write weight in the decimal form

The weight of rice is 8.290 kg

The weight of flour is 17.455 kg

According to the question, we have

Total weight = Weight of rice + Weight of flour

⇒  8.290 + 17.455

⇒ 25.745 kg

So, The Total weight is 25 kg 745 g

∴ The total weight carried by Harish is 25 kg 745 g.
