Correct Answer - Option 1 : 1803

The Correct Answer is 1803.

  • In the year 1803, Haryana became part of the British Empire. The present-day Delhi was also conquered by the British during the same year.
  • Shah Alam, a weak Mughal emperor, ruled Delhi at the time. Daulat Rao Scindia, the Maratha ruler at the time, was in charge of administration and was attempting to negotiate a peace treaty with the British.
  • Taking control of Haryana was not easy for the British. The Jats, Bishnois, Siks, and Gujjar citizens stood up to the dictatorship with vigour.
  • In 1805, the British split Haryana into two sections. The greater portion was under the jurisdiction of local rulers who were loyal to the British, while the smaller part remained under their control.
  • The majority of the land that was given to local citizens or local kings did not remain loyal to the British.
  • Haryana's people, who were naturally independent and disliked outside intervention, began to rebel against the British.

  • Haryana is a state in India situated in the Punjab region in the northwestern part of the country. On November 1, 1966, it was carved out of the former state of East Punjab on the basis of linguistics.
