The relation between the effective modulus Ece, short term static modulus Ec and creep coefficient θ of concrete is given by:

1. \({E_{ce}} = \dfrac{\theta }{{1 + 2{E_c}}}\)
2. \({E_{ce}} = \dfrac{E_c }{{1 + 2{\theta}}}\)
3. \({E_{ce}} = \dfrac{\theta }{{1 + {E_c}}}\)
4. \({E_{ce}} = \dfrac{E_c }{{1 + {\theta}}}\)

Correct Answer - Option 4 : \({E_{ce}} = \dfrac{E_c }{{1 + {\theta}}}\)

Concept:
Short term static modulus of concrete,

\({E_C} = 5000 \times \sqrt {{f_{ck}}} \)

where,

fck = grade of concrete

Long term elastic modulus of concrete

\({E_{ce} } = \dfrac{{{E_c}}}{{1 + θ }}\)

θ = creep coefficient
