Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 2 : 92.5

Given

Ratio in which pluses were mixed = 3 ∶ 4

Selling price of the mixture = Rs 115 per Kg

Profit earned = 15%

Formula used

Quantity of cheaper/Quantity of dearer = (cost price of dearer – mean price) / (mean Price - cost price of dearer)

Calculation

Cost price of the mixture = 115 × 100 /115 = Rs 100 per kg

Let cost price of second type of Pulses = Rs x per kg

Applying the rule of allegation

⇒ (100 – x) ∶ (110 – 100) = 3 ∶ 4

⇒ (100 – x) ∶ 10 = 3 ∶ 4

⇒ 4x = 400 – 30

⇒ x = 370/4

⇒ x = Rs 92.5 per kg

Cost price of second type of Pulse is Rs 92.5 per kg.
