    • The river Alaknanda is the source stream of the Ganga.
    • The five tributaries joining with Alaknanda are Dhauliganga, Nandakini, Pindar, Mandakini and Bhagirathi.
    • Alaknanda makes various confluence with other rivers it is called as Prayag.
      • Vishnuprayag- Alaknanda meets the Dhauliganga River
