Best answer
Correct Answer - Option 1 : Rs. 8900

From the table,

Total Interest given by SBI from 2002 to 2004 = 12% + 16% + 21% = 49%

Total Interest given by HDFC from 2001 to 2004 =  12% + 15% + 8% + 5% = 40%

Interest earned by Anil at Rs 10,000 = 10000 × 49 × 1/100 = Rs 4,900

Interest earned by sunil at Rs 10,000 = 10,000 × 40 × 1/100 = Rs 4,000

Total interest earned by them together = Rs 4000 + Rs 4900 = Rs 8900

∴ The correct answer is Rs 8900
