Correct Answer - Option 1 : x > y

I. \((625)^\frac{{1}}{{4}} x + \sqrt{{1225}} = 155\)

⇒ \((5^4)^\frac{{1}}{{4}} x + 35 = 155\)

⇒ 5x = 155 – 35 ⇒ 5x = 120

⇒ \(x=\frac{{120}}{{5}} = 24\)

II. \(\sqrt{{196}} y + 13 = 279\)

⇒ 14y = 279 – 13 = 266

⇒ \(y = \frac{{266}}{{14}} = 19\)

Comparison between x and y (via Tabulation):

Value of x

Value of y

Relation

24

19

x > y

∴ Clearly x > y
