Given

Total ages = 96 years

Calculation

Let the ages of Bharat, Ajay and Pankaj 5 years ago be 2x, 3x and 4x years respectively.

So, total of their present ages will be,

⇒ (2x + 5) + (3x + 5) + (4x + 5)  = 96

⇒ 9x + 15 = 96

⇒ 9x = 81 

⇒ x = 9

∴ The present age of Pankaj = (4x + 5) = (4 × 9 + 5) = 41 years.
