Correct Answer - Option 3 : 35 cm

Given:

Length of rectangle = 30 cm = Length of square

Difference of area = 150 cm2

Formula used:

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Area of square = (Side)2

Calculation:

Let the length of the rectangle be 'L'

Now, ATQ

(30 × L) - (30)2 = 150

⇒ 30L = 150 + 900 = 1050

⇒ L = 1050/30 = 35 cm

∴ The length of the rectangle is 35 cm.
