Given:

Five years ago, the ratio of age of Shikha and Suman = 7 : 5

Five years hence, the ratio of age of Shikha and Suman = 27 : 20

Calculation:

Let, Five years ago age of Shikha and Suman was 7x and 5x respectively

According to the question

(7x + 10)/(5x + 10) = 27/20

⇒ 140x + 200 = 135x + 270

⇒ 5x = 70

⇒ x = 14 years

So, present age of Suman = 5x + 5 = 5 × 14 + 5

⇒ 75 years.

∴ The present age of Suman is 75 years.
